SC stays order to shut Mouchak Market
The Supreme Court (SC) on Tuesday stayed the High Court (HC) order for six weeks that ordered to shut down the Mouchak Market in the capital. After a hearing in this regard, the Chamber Judge Mirza Hossain Haider stayed the order today.
The High Court on Monday (yesterday) directed the authorities concerned to keep the shops closed until a certificate is received under the building code after the market is repaired.
Rajdhani Unnayan Kartripakkha or RAJUK, on May 2, sent a letter to the building authorities after a BUET report termed the multi-storied market risky.
