‘Have to spend a month at drug rehabilitation centre’29 December, 2015 02:51
‘Shorgo Theke Norok', starring Ferdous and Nipun, has been released today. Directed by Dr Arup Ratan Choudhury, the film tells a horrific story of drug addiction. In an interview with Nipun talked about the film and her others engagements.
Why the film named 'Shorgo Theke Norok'?
The purpose of the film is to bring people back from the ravages of drugs. Here normal way of living is compared with shorgo (divine) and the danger of drugs is compared with norok (hell). Everyone should say no to the drugs after seeing the film, it’s our expectation.
Have any special preparation for the film?
Yeah. For coping up with the environment, I have to spend a stretched one month at the drug rehabilitation centre in Dhaka prior to starting the shooting of the film. Here I acted the character of a drug addicted girl whose name is Nipun, who became addicted desiring to be a top ramp model.
What is your opinion about drug addicted persons?
In fact, drug addiction is not a disease but it is a tendency and people are being addicted with it for various reasons. Due to excessive consumption of drugs, the beauty of life and dreams are dashed. We need to try to restore normal life for them who are addicted.
What about your next film?
My next film is Delwar Jahan Jhantu’s ‘52 Theke 71’. It is a fortune for me that I am working with this acclaimed director and I feel very much lucky. I think, such kind of films will lift me in different level.
